Funky Cards privacy policy

Last updated: November 3, 2026

Funky Cards is a card game made by Miyu Factory, a small independent studio. This page explains what information the app uses and what it does with it. In short: Funky Cards collects no personal data and sends nothing to its developers or to third parties.

What stays on your phone

The app saves a few small files only on your phone to remember your choices:

These files never leave your phone. They are deleted if you uninstall the app or clear its data.

The camera

The camera is used only to scan the QR code of a local multiplayer game. No photo is taken, saved or sent. Permission is only requested when you want to join a game.

Local multiplayer

To play together, phones connect directly to each other on the same Wi-Fi network (or one phone's hotspot). They only exchange what the game needs: your nickname, your character and the moves played. No server is used: this information does not go through the Internet and is not kept after the game (apart from the return code above).

"Contact us"

The "Contact us" button (Settings) prepares a message in your own e-mail app, with the app version and your phone model (to help understand a bug). You decide whether to send it: nothing leaves without you. If you write to us, we use your e-mail address and message only to reply to you.

What this version of Funky Cards doesn't do

Children

The app collects no data, including from children.

Android permissions

Who is responsible for your data

Miyu Factory, the publisher of Funky Cards (see the legal notice on miyufactory.com). For any question about your data: contact@miyufactory.com.

Becoming a beta tester

The website's "Want to be a beta tester?" link prepares an e-mail in your own e-mail app. If you send it, we keep your first name or nickname, your Gmail address and your phone model only to invite you to the Funky Cards tests on Google Play (Google requires the Gmail address of the account joining a test). This list is neither published nor shared; we delete it when the tests end, or as soon as you ask.

How long we keep your e-mails

Messages sent to contact@ or support@miyufactory.com arrive in the studio's mailbox (Google's Gmail service). We keep them as long as needed to reply and follow up on the reported issue, then delete them no later than 24 months after our last exchange. You can also ask us to delete them at any time: we do so as soon as you ask.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time to access, correct or delete the data we hold about you (in practice: your e-mails), or object to its use: write to contact@miyufactory.com, we reply within one month. If you think your rights are not respected, you can report it to your data protection authority (in France, the CNIL: www.cnil.fr). Data saved on your phone never reaches us: you delete it yourself by clearing the app's data or uninstalling it.

This website

miyufactory.com uses no cookies. It is hosted by GitHub Pages (GitHub, Inc.), which, like any host, records visitors' IP addresses in its technical logs for security purposes. We have no access to them. See GitHub's privacy statement: docs.github.com/site-policy/privacy-policies/github-general-privacy-statement

Changes

If the app changes (for example with ads, which you will choose to watch in exchange for a bonus, usage analytics or online play), this page will be updated before those changes, and your consent will be asked in the app where the law requires it.
